If I had a moral objection to solving quadratic equations, could I have gotten out of my algebra homework?

Given the sectino you posted in, I'll use a meat eating/not eating ogy for you. When someone morally objects to eating meat, they BACK IT UP by citing that animals are living beings and that it is wrong to take their lives to feed ours. If you could demonstrate HOW or WHY it is morally objectionable to solve QE's then yes, you could probably get out of it. BUT since mathematics is morally neutral, you won't be able to demonstrate your case. There are no morals involved in math in and of itself.
