I have a new window vista, first time I go to E-MAIL (Windows Mail) to creat mail, when I sent, it requred?

Incoming and Outgoing Server which I was not sure what to enter, but I enter something and after that, it asked me for user id & pword, I'm not sure which user id & pword it needs? help please. thanks
