Can someone explain to me why Kobe is praised so much and why he is compared to true Greats like MJ?

Michael had a great team and a great supporting cast. Kobe and the Lakers when Shaq left had to rebuild from scratch and Jordans Bulls never had to do that with Jordan on the team. That is why it is different. Kobe brought them from a barely playoff contender a few years ago even missing the playoffs to a contender the last 2 years and to win this. Gasol is great but he isnt as great of a 2nd best player as Pippen was. Jordan had 3 poiint champions on his team as well as 6th man of the year and rebounding champions and so forth. Kobe had a 1 time all star in Gasol. Thats why people are saying this. ITs Kobe's awareness and intensity that no one has had since Jordan.
