What were the consequences of the overthrow of Mossadeq? And why was the Shah's regime increasingly hated ?
Mossadeq Stood up for the Interests of the average Iranian, was trying to be progressive and help the people with social programs and the like, where as the Shah only cared about his elites, The Shah was not seen as an advocate for the people but rather a puppet of the USA and UK, Iran was less Democratic under the Shah, that is why he was hated and the Result was anti western and especially anti U.S. feelings among the people, leading eventually to his overthrow and the semi theocratic regime we see today. In my opinion, the USA and UK made a big mistake in overthrowing Mossadeq
