86 Nissan pickup, starts then immediately stalls, sunk it in deep water but drove home fine until the next day
1986 Nissan Pick up, went offroading and got it stuck in a couple feet of water. Deep enough that water started coming in through the doors and flooded the interior. The engine was mostly out of the water with the rear almost submerged. I kept rocking it by putting it in drive then reverse but we ended up towing it out with the engine running the entire time. That night I drove the truck about 30 miles with no problems. The next day it began stalling as I was driving it then wouldnt start. I managed to drive it home but noticed that the truck drove okay until about 2800 rpms then the truck would begin to stall and sputter. You could hear water sloshing around somewhere in the truck. Once home the truck would start fine but then immediately stalls. The lights, radio, etc all work fine. Interior is still pretty damp and there is water in the door sills. Put in new fuel lines, fuel pump, and exhaust right before this happened. Any feedback will help - Thanks
